Yorkway Private supports ANVAM artist in residence
Yorkway Private is pleased to support the Australian National Veterans Arts Museum (ANVAM) by sponsoring their 2025 Artist in Residence program. The program was launched over the weekend as part of ANVAM’s Festival of Veterans Arts (FOVA) exhibition launch, which Yorkway Private's Michelene Hart attended.
FOVA is a week-long festival to celebrate and draw the community together as ANVAM showcases the creativity of the veteran community, and the important role of the arts in growing a stronger more resilient veteran community.
The theme for this year’s festival is “together” and the 2025 Artist in Residence, Kimbaross, has been commissioned to paint a piece conveying this theme.
Kimbaross was born and raised on a farm in Northeast Victoria then moved to Melbourne where he is an active member of the Australian Army Reserve and a volunteer firefighter. As a visual artist, Kimbaross primarily paints and draws, inspired by everyday interactions in and with nature. His style is instantly recognisable favouring oil pastels and acrylic paint pens with use of an intense vibrant colour palette.
We wish Kimbaross the very best of luck and support as he works on this piece and others throughout his time as ANVAM's 2025 Artist in Residence during and after the Festival of Veterans Artists.
